Purpose of the job
As a key member of Packing Team:
- Manage and monitor Packing Area in the most cost-effective manner possible in line with the requirements of Rhokett, BRC, customer code of practices
- To provide stewardship of the quality, food safety and legality systems on site, drive and monitor the adherence to food safety and the quality
- Ensuring 100% compliance to statutory and mandatory requirements
- To manage, motivate and develop direct reports in line with Rhokett policies and procedures, champion food safety culture
- Share required information in a timely and informative manner
Nature & Scope of the job:
- Working without direct supervision for a significant proportion of time, within defined levels of responsibility
- Maintain the quality and food safety management systems in line with BRC and Customer Code of Practices, etc, as per company standards
- Support Packing Team. Train staff and other relevant personnel in required SOPs, procedures, policies, build their confidence and representation
- Ensure the site GMP is compliant and relevant corrective actions are closed out, hygiene up to required standard
- Ensure daily, weekly, monthly checks/records are completed as per schedule/requirement and managed as per BRC standard and customer code of practices. Ensure all required information is recorded correctly, easily retrieved and evaluated
- Ensure the site paperwork systems and document control are managed, and returned to QAs in a timely manner
- Traceability maintained through all processes
- Provide required information for customer complaints/suppliers
- Provide retained samples to QAs
- Assist and work on required projects to ensure a successful outcome
- Develop oneself within the job role.
- Contribute to discussions to solve problems and make decisions
- Support Production Director in ensuring continuity in manufacturing process function within the business
- Any other duties as dictated by the needs of the company
- Clear, respectful communication between different areas (HC vs LR, stores)
- Stock control, PPE management, order required stock

- Communication skills, verbal and written
- Numeracy including basic data analysis and interpretation
