Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Section Chef to add to our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a level 2 in food and hygiene , culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality. As a Section Chef, you will need to be able to work composed under stress and be able to communicate with other staff effectively and clearly
Duties
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency in presentation and taste
- Manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Enforce food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards within the kitchen
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery with low waiting time for customers
- Monitor portion control and minimise waste to optimise efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience within a busy kitchen environment
- Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings with a focus on high standards of service and low waiting times
- Leadership qualities with the ability to organise and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house personnel
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and current industry trends
