Job Summary
Falkirk based Sheriff Officers require a collection and administration agent to work in our recoveries department handling a wide variety of client work. The position may require working shift patterns to assist with covering the hours of 8am to 8pm during the week.
Responsibilities and Duties
Carry out collections and debt recovery procedures in accordance with company policy and procedures, ensuring that satisfactory collections performance is achieved and losses are minimized. Proactively engage with overdue customers via telephone or correspondence to secure immediate payment. Negotiate arrangements and appropriate payment plans and authorise further recovery action where necessary.
You will be able to establish and maintain rapport with customers while working as an effective member of the team. Helping to foster a strong team and quality ethos and striving to ensure that the entire team achieves its service targets and objectives. The ability to compose concise/accurate letters and correspondence to customers while complying with relevant legislation. A willingness to work towards personal targets and role specific working practices.
Ensuring that the customer is at the forefront through the delivery of service excellence including; handling all telephone calls and written correspondence to required quality levels; exceeding customer expectations; and meeting all contractual and regulatory Service Level Agreements.
Qualifications and Skills
A working knowledge of Microsoft office software would be helpful along with effective call handling and the ability to work with a variety of database applications to obtain and update information. Previous experience of a similar position would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided.
