We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our team working Monday to Thursday 9 am - 6 pm and Friday 9.30 am - 6 pm (39.5 hours per week).
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, contributing to our mission of providing a top-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Undertake receipt and checking of incoming stock in line with goods in process, ensuring labelling disciplines are completed as appropriate and stock is correctly located within the warehouse
- Keep shelves restocked from storage whilst ensuring the safe racking/free standing of all material
- Pick and pack customer orders to achieve agreed turnaround targets
- Dispatch orders with appropriate paperwork
- The safe loading/handling/unloading of all stock
- Ensure the warehouse and outside is clean and tidy, keeping walkways clear and attending to all stock ensuring condition of stock is always at an optimum.
- As and when required by the Warehouse Manager, stocktake is a business need therefore every effort will be made to ensure notice is given of staffing requirements.
- Fulfil training programs deemed necessary to allow efficient performance of duties and assist in your personal development
- Support and assist newly appointed or less experienced colleagues by providing
- training and guidance as appropriate
Health and Safety

- Ensures that the team comply with legislation and company policies and procedures
- Raise issues that may impinge on health and safety requirements
- Ensures that the workspace is kept tidy and free from hazards

- Familiarity with warehouse processes is desirable
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work on own initiative and equally well in a team
- Ability to build rapport quickly
- Effective communication skills
