Evening & Weekend Focus
£12.71 per hour plus a considerable and consistent tips package
Kiln is a vibrant cafe, restaurant and cocktail bar based in the heart of Ouseburn, Newcastle. Home to a renowned ceramics studio and a fast-growing reputation for exceptional hospitality, Kiln blends creativity with craft across food, drink and design.
We’re looking for confident and experienced front of house members to join our team. This is a key role within our front-of-house operation – someone who can confidently deliver outstanding service, primarily during evening and weekend shifts.
About You:
- You can take ownership of a section and take pride in managing the guest experience.
- You’re personable, reliable and great with guests – you understand how to create a welcoming and elevated experience without taking yourself too seriously.
- You enjoy working as part of a tight-knit team and take pride in the details.
Bonus Skills (not essential but very welcome):
- Coffee experience or barista training – this would allow for occasional day shifts and greater rota flexibility.
- Cocktail training or wine knowledge is also desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a wider team, communicating between other floor members, the kitchen team and the bar team.
- Own your section - have autonomy and be trusted to adapt to the needs of your customers to ensure the very best experience - we want warm, attentive and knowledgable, with a 'yes we can' attitude.
- Keep the floor section clean, organised and safe at all times.
- Follow all health & safety and hygiene standards.
- Be an active and positive presence in service, contributing to the overall energy of the venue.
