Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of a specialised care home for children. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a team of care professionals. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive experience in assisted living or nursing home environments, and a compassionate approach to child welfare. The manager will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children in need of care.
Duties
- Lead and manage the overall operation of the children's home, ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation and standards.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to each child's needs,.
- Supervise and support care staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership and supervising experience.
- Oversee medication administration and ensure strict compliance with health and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with external agencies, healthcare professionals, and families to promote holistic care for children.
- Monitor the wellbeing of residents, responding promptly to any concerns or emergencies.
- Organise training programmes for staff to maintain high standards of care and professional development.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to care plans, incident reports, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure the home operates efficiently within budget constraints while providing exceptional care services.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within a children care home setting, ideally with a
- Extensive knowledge of care plans development and medication administration procedures.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising experience in a residential or home care environment.
- Familiarity with regulations governing children's homes and standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to oversee multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with children, families, staff, and external agencies.
- Relevant qualifications in r management within healthcare settings are highly desirable.
