Due to continued growth, we are looking for experienced Solar Electricians to join our expanding team. We welcome applications from both employed and self-employed electricians.

The Role
As a Solar Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality installations and electrical work on residential solar PV and battery storage systems across the UK.
Responsibilities
- Install and commission Solar PV and Battery Storage systems.
- Carry out electrical testing, inspection and certification.
- Ensure all work complies with current BS7671 Wiring Regulations and MCS standards.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults where required.
- Complete all required paperwork and installation documentation accurately.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and represent the UPS Solar brand professionally.
- Work safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
- Support apprentices and installation teams where required.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (NVQ or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Inspection & Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent).
- Experience installing Solar PV systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Battery Storage installation experience.
- EV Charger installation experience.
- Design & Verification qualification.
- MCS knowledge and experience.

Experience
- Solar PV Installation: Minimum 1 year preferred.
- Renewable energy experience desirable.
Licence/Certification
- 18th Edition (Required)
- Level 3 Electrical Installation (NVQ or equivalent) (Required)
- Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent) (Required)
- Full UK Driving Licence (Required)
