Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Qualified Dispenser to join our team at Medicare. As a Qualified Dispenser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of prescription medications to our valued customers. This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with pharmacy regulations and guidelines.
2. Checking prescriptions for accuracy and completeness, including dosage instructions and potential interactions.
3. Providing friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, answering questions and offering advice on medication usage and potential side effects.
4. Collaborating with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
5. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of prescription medications and inventory management.
6. Adhering to all pharmacy policies and procedures, including those related to confidentiality and data protection.
7. Participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with industry regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
1. NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.
2. Previous experience working as a dispenser in a community pharmacy setting.
3. Excellent knowledge of pharmacy regulations, including legal and ethical guidelines.
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when necessary.
7. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
