Were looking for an experienced BPA Manger for 12months maternity cover. You will be responsible for leading InterGensplanning, forecasting and business partnering activities, ensuring thatfinancial forecasts are accurate, robust and aligned to our strategicobjectives. Through effective stakeholder engagement, insightful analysis andmodelling, you will support business decision making, communicate performanceexpectations to stakeholders, and help drive business growth.
You will oversee forecasting cycles, challenge key businessassumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and translate complex financialinformation into actionable recommendations for senior leaders across ourbusiness.
The Business Planning & Analysis (BPA)team is responsible for delivering the financial insight that supportsstrategic decision making across InterGen. Through internal and externalmanagement reporting, forecasting, investment appraisal and M&A support, wehelp the business identify opportunities and manage risks that drive long termvalue.

Business Partnering
Youll lead financial business partnering across InterGenworking closely with operational, commercial and finance stakeholders tosupport forecasting, planning and strategic decisions. You will have ownershipof the short-run marginal cost process to support commodity trading decisionsby our sister company Powertica. You will be a key point of contact for senior InterGenstakeholders, (Managing Director, CFO) and key people at Powertica, toensure critical planning assumptions, business performance and strategicobjectives are all aligned.
We need you to deliver insightful analysis andrecommendations on the economics of InterGens gas fleet, maintenanceand investment options, operational performance, risks and opportunities. Thiswill include helping to maintain robust financial models and assumptions thatsupport business planning.
Business Review and Financial Planning Process
As a key contributor to the business review and financialplanning process, youll coordinate across our functional areas to deliver highquality planning and forecasting outputs. Were looking for you to turn complexinformation into insightful analysis on financial performance and forecastmetrics, to support our senior leaders and communicate effectively with ourinvestors.
Decision Support, Financial Analysis and Continuousimprovement
You will lead the analysis and modelling for operational andinvestment decisions at our plants.
Working with the plant management teams, you will ensurethese our choices are modelled appropriately and presented along with relevantsensitivity analysis to support our decision makers. You will analyseoperational performance, revenue streams and cost drivers while managing theend-to-end business planning and assumptions for long term forecasting. As a championof continuous improvement, you will take the lead on the review of processesand techniques in providing routine analysis and decision support, ensuringbest practices in this field.
As a BPA Manager at InterGen,you are a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical, forecasting,and business partnering experience. Comfortable working with seniorstakeholders, you can analyse complex financial information and turn it intoclear, understandable insights and recommendations that support business decisionmaking. Highly organised and proactive, you thrive in a fast-paced environment,take ownership and accountability of your work and have the skills to buildstrong relationships across the business. You are confident challengingassumptions, managing competing priorities and delivering high quality results.
Qualifications
Professional finance qualification (ICAS/ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA orequivalent) essential
Experience Energy Industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience of preparation of financial forecastsand financial modelling best practice
- Experience of communicating complex issues tosenior executives Track record in using excel for financial modelling orsimilar analysis
- Understanding and practical experience of TM1 (IBMCognos reporting tool) would be a great advantage (introductory training willbe provided and then hands on training on the job)
- Salary £68,000 £72,000 DOE
