We are looking for a passionate and experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to lead and manage our residential unit, supporting up to 26 residents alongside a dedicated and caring team.
This role involves overseeing all aspects of resident care including medication management, care planning, clinical oversight, liaising with families, healthcare professionals and external agencies, as well as supporting processes such as DoLS applications and responding to changing resident needs.
Our unit has a fantastic atmosphere and strong team spirit. We are looking for the right person to build positive relationships with both residents and staff, while helping take the unit to the next level through strong leadership, compassion and high clinical standards.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- An active NMC PIN
- Excellent clinical skills
- Experience working with elderly residents within a care home setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A kind, compassionate and professional approach
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care by continually assessing residents’ needs and wishes
- Develop and review care plans to support residents’ physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing
- Promote independence, dignity and personal choice at all times
- Manage all aspects of medication safely, ensuring medicines are received, stored and administered correctly
- Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, professionals and external agencies
- Support safeguarding processes, DoLS applications and changing care needs
- Lead, motivate and develop the team to maintain excellent standards of care
- Act with kindness, compassion and integrity in everything you do
- Support the ongoing development of yourself and others to meet the evolving needs of the service
