Kitchen Assistant
Reporting to: Head Chef / Chef
Are you passionate about food and enjoy making a difference in people’s daily lives? We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly catering team within our home.
This is a rewarding role where you’ll play an important part in creating a positive dining experience for our residents and their guests. Working closely with the Head Chef and wider team, you’ll help deliver high-quality, nutritious meals in a warm and welcoming environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the Head Chef/Chef in delivering a high-quality catering service for our residents
- Helping to create an enjoyable and dignified dining experience
- Assisting in the preparation and service of meals and refreshments for residents and guests
- Ensuring meals meet residents’ individual dietary and nutritional needs
- Maintaining clean, safe, and well-stocked kitchen and dining areas
- Making sure cleaning schedules are followed in line with company policies
- Ensuring sufficient crockery, cutlery, and glassware are available at all times
- Adhering to all health & safety, food hygiene, COSHH, and company policy requirements
- Participating in ongoing training to maintain safe and high standards of practice

Experience in a kitchen environment is helpful, but most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is reliable, supportive, and takes pride in their work.
