Overview
Target Catering Equipment is a growing business-to-business (B2B) commercial catering equipment company, specialising in bespoke stainless steel fabrication, ventilation systems, commercial catering equipment and complete kitchen fit-outs for hospitality and foodservice businesses across the UK.
Our customers range from independent restaurants, cafés and hotels through to larger hospitality groups, contractors and commercial organisations. We work in a professional B2B environment where building strong customer relationships, responding quickly to enquiries and providing reliable ongoing support are key to generating repeat business.
We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Sales & Aftersales Administrator to support our customers throughout their journey with Target – from initial sales enquiries through to ongoing servicing, consumables and aftersales support.
This is a varied, customer-focused role combining sales administration, customer relationship management, aftersales coordination and general office support.
A key part of the role will be helping us develop stronger commercial relationships with our existing customer base by ensuring customers are supported after installation and proactively identifying opportunities for servicing, maintenance, consumables, replacement equipment and repeat sales.
This role would suit someone who is organised and confident communicating with business customers, enjoys following things through to completion and is comfortable being proactive rather than simply waiting for enquiries to come in.
Key ResponsibilitiesAftersales, Servicing & Repeat Business
- Act as a key point of contact for B2B customer aftersales enquiries
- Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with existing commercial customers
- Respond to enquiries regarding equipment servicing, maintenance, consumables, spare parts and replacement equipment
- Proactively contact existing customers regarding servicing, maintenance and consumable requirements
- Identify opportunities for repeat business within our existing customer base
- Prepare and follow up quotations for servicing, consumables, parts and replacement equipment
- Receive and process customer orders for consumables, cleaning products, filters and replacement items
- Help develop regular and repeat consumable orders
- Maintain accurate records of customer equipment and service history
- Record future servicing and maintenance requirements and follow up when due
- Ensure customer enquiries are followed through from initial contact to completion
- Understand the importance of response times, professional communication and customer retention within a commercial environment
Service & Engineer Coordination
- Arrange and coordinate equipment service and preventative maintenance visits
- Liaise with commercial customers and engineers to arrange suitable service dates
- Maintain the service diary and keep customers informed of appointments
- Prepare job information and relevant paperwork for engineers
- Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers regarding spare parts, pricing and availability
- Follow up completed service visits and identify any further work required
- Prepare quotations for recommended repairs or replacement equipment where required
- Ensure completed service documentation is returned, recorded and filed correctly
- Escalate technical or complex service issues to the appropriate member of the team
Sales & Customer Support
- Support incoming B2B sales enquiries and ensure they are dealt with efficiently
- Assist with preparing quotations and commercial customer proposals
- Follow up quotations and customer enquiries where required
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding outstanding quotations, orders and information
- Assist the sales team with customer follow-up and sales administration
- Develop an understanding of customer requirements and identify relevant products and services
- Help identify opportunities for additional equipment, servicing and ongoing support
- Keep customer and opportunity information accurate within the CRM system
- Assist with preparing customer packs, brochures and presentation materials
- Maintain up-to-date supplier brochures, literature and product information
- Support promotional activity to existing customers for relevant products, servicing and consumables
CRM & Administration
- Input and maintain accurate customer information within the CRM system
- Record customer enquiries, quotations, follow-ups and aftersales activity
- Help maintain accurate customer equipment and service records
- Organise digital and physical project files
- File site photographs, service reports and project documentation
- Support the team with quotations, paperwork and document control
- Ensure information is kept accurate and up to date
- Help develop systems for scheduling customer follow-ups, servicing and repeat consumable requirements
Office & General Support
- Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and deal with or direct enquiries appropriately
- Welcome customers, visitors and suppliers to the office
- Assist with general incoming emails and customer enquiries
- Maintain a tidy, organised and professional office environment
- Manage office supplies and stationery
- Support communication between customers, the office, workshop, engineers and project teams
- Assist the wider office and management team with general administration when required

This is not a high-pressure or cold-calling sales role. It is a commercially focused B2B position centred around looking after existing and incoming customers, providing excellent aftersales support and developing opportunities for repeat business.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous administration, customer service, sales support or office experience preferred
- Experience working in a B2B or commercial environment would be advantageous
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable proactively contacting business customers
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- Experience using CRM systems is beneficial but not essential
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn about our products, customers and industry
Desirable – But Not Essential
- Previous B2B sales, sales administration or customer account experience
- Experience within commercial catering equipment, engineering, construction or manufacturing
- Experience supporting or managing business customer accounts
- Experience coordinating engineers, servicing or maintenance appointments
- Experience preparing and following up quotations
- Experience processing commercial customer orders
- Experience working with consumables, spare parts or aftersales
- Experience using CRM or service management systems
Full product and industry training will be provided.
