Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Care Assistant to provide high-quality care and support to residents during the night. In this vital role, you will ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of individuals in our care home. You will help create a peaceful and reassuring environment for those in your care. Responsibilities
- Monitor residents’ safety and well-being throughout the night, responding promptly to any emergencies or concerns
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as toileting, mobility, following individual care plans
- Maintain accurate records of residents’ conditions, activities, and any incidents during your shift
- Communicate effectively with your senior carer and colleagues
- Conduct regular checks on the environment to ensure safety standards are upheld and report any maintenance requirements
- Support residents’ emotional needs by providing reassurance, companionship, and respectful communication
- Update care records and document relevant information accurately
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home is desirable but training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow detailed care plans precisely and adapt to individual needs
- Knowledge of IT systems
