Maintenance Groundworker
Location: Hackney, East London
Salary: £39,000 per annum
Bonus: Up to £500 per month

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Groundworker to join a housing association maintenance team covering Hackney and the surrounding areas.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Groundworker who enjoys property maintenance and external works, rather than purely construction-site groundworks.
You will be carrying out a range of reactive and planned external maintenance works across social housing properties, including fencing, concrete repairs, paving, slabs and general landscaping.
The Role
- Carry out reactive and planned external maintenance works across social housing properties
- Install, repair and replace fencing, gates and posts
- Carry out concrete repairs and minor concrete works
- Lay and repair paving slabs, paths and patios
- Carry out minor groundworks and excavation
- Undertake kerbing and edging repairs
- Complete general landscaping and external maintenance works
- Repair damaged paths, communal areas and external surfaces
- Carry out making-good works following repairs
- Work across occupied residential properties and communal areas
- Diagnose issues and identify the appropriate repair solution
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship at all times
- Complete works within agreed timescales and meet service standards
- Work safely and comply with relevant health and safety requirements
- Provide a professional and courteous service to residents
- Keep the company van, tools and equipment maintained and secure
- Complete job sheets and relevant paperwork using the company's systems
About You
We are looking for someone with previous experience in groundworks and/or external property maintenance.
You should have experience with several of the following:
- Fencing
- Concrete repairs
- Slabbing and paving
- Landscaping
- Minor groundworks
- Kerbing
- Paths and patios
- General external repairs
Experience working within social housing, local authority, housing association or property maintenance environments would be highly desirable.
A full UK driving licence is essential as a company van is provided.
