Are you an experienced and reliable driver looking for a rewarding role? Langley Hall Primary Academy is seeking a professional Minibus Driver to join our dedicated team, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of our pupils.
Key Responsibilities (38.25 hrs/week):
- Drive the school minibus for transporting children to and from school, as well as between facilities such as our lunch hall.
- Conduct daily and weekly vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, safety, and cleanliness.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance, refuel as needed, and coordinate servicing and annual MOT tests.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation for the vehicle to uphold the school’s image.
- Report any defects, incidents, or accidents promptly.
- Participate in Health & Safety training, Safeguarding courses, and regularly update skills and knowledge.
- Stay informed by accessing the school intranet to review policies, procedures, and updates.
- Support other duties as assigned by the School Transport Manager, Head of Business Operations, or Heads of School.
Requirements:
- Full and clean UK driving license with a minimum of three years’ driving experience.
- Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations.
- A proactive and professional attitude with attention to detail.
- Ability to ensure a safe and friendly environment for children during transportation.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards in Health & Safety and Safeguarding.
