Senior Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure (Water Sector Preferred)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading consultancy delivering major infrastructure and capital delivery projects across the UK.Due to continued growth within the infrastructure team, my client is seeking a commercially focused Senior Quantity Surveyor with proven experience across large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally within the water or utilities sector.Based in Newcastle, this role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile regional and national programmes within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Full commercial management throughout the project lifecycle
- NEC contract administration and change management
- Cost planning, forecasting, and reporting
- Procurement and subcontractor management
- Risk management and value engineering
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Experience operating at Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor level within infrastructure projects
- Water sector or utilities experience highly desirable
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
- Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder engagement skills
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
