This is a face-to-face, in-person role focused on representing a range of well-known charitable organisations. The successful candidate will be working in locations where people live, work and shop, helping to raise awareness, share meaningful causes, and connect members of the public with opportunities to become long-term supporters.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants their work to have purpose. Rather than traditional retail sales, this position centres around building conversations, communicating impact, and helping charities secure ongoing donor support that funds vital programmes both locally and globally.
The Role
The Promotional Sales Assistant will be responsible for engaging members of the public in person and introducing them to the charities being represented.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Setting up and representing charity campaigns in busy public locations across Watford
- Speaking directly with individuals to explain each charity’s mission, values, and current initiatives
- Answering questions and providing clear, accurate information about how donations are used
- Helping interested individuals complete donor sign-ups
- Meeting daily and weekly performance targets
- Providing feedback on campaign performance and public engagement
- Maintaining a professional and enthusiastic approach at all times
This is a target-driven environment where communication skills and resilience are key. Full product and campaign training will be provided.
Who They Are Looking For
The organisation is looking for individuals who are:
- Confident and comfortable speaking to new people
- Passionate about supporting charitable causes
- Strong communicators with a positive attitude
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Reliable and able to work full-time in Watford
- Aged 18+ with the right to work in the UK
Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, fundraising, or sales can be beneficial but is not essential.

Applicants who are motivated by purpose, enjoy speaking with people, and are ready to work in a face-to-face environment are encouraged to apply.
