Job Summary
We are seeking dynamic and strategic Production Managers and Directors to lead manufacturing operations with energy and precision. Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee day-to-day production activities, ensuring work is completed to a high standard, on time, and in line with health and safety requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve production processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
- Manage the flow of materials and work closely with suppliers to ensure production schedules are met.
- Use ERP systems, such as SAP, to monitor production, stock levels, and key operational information.
- Maintain high quality standards by carrying out regular checks, inspections, and audits, and resolving any issues quickly.
- Review production processes to identify bottlenecks and implement practical improvements to assembly and mechanical operations.
- Work closely with other teams to improve assembly methods, solve technical problems, and increase overall productivity.
Requirements
- Previous experience managing or supervising manufacturing operations in a busy production environment.
- A good understanding of ERP systems, such as SAP, and supply chain or inventory management software.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with assembly processes, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Experience leading teams and supporting continuous improvement initiatives, ideally using Lean or Six Sigma principles.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Good understanding of supply chain processes and how to manage the efficient flow of materials.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related subject is preferred. Additional qualifications in process improvement would be an advantage.
