Overview
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Multi Skilled Operative to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of trades, contributing to diverse projects within the construction, refurbishment, and repair sectors. Duties
- Carry out carpentry tasks including framing, fitting, and finishing work with precision and attention to detail.
- Perform roofing repairs and installations ensuring durability and weather resistance.
- Undertake construction painting, preparing surfaces and applying finishes to meet project specifications.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Execute masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing.
- Operate welding equipment safely for fabrication and repair tasks across various materials.
- Assist with electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance where qualified or under supervision.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining safety protocols.
- Fabricate components on-site or in workshops as required for specialised projects.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, or fabrication is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools such as saws, drills, hammers, chisels, and levels.
- Competence with power tools including angle grinders, sanders, drills, and saws.
- Strong understanding of health & safety procedures relevant to construction sites.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specifications accurately.
- Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to adapt across multiple trades depending on project requirements.
- Good communication skills to collaborate efficiently within a team environment.
