About the role
In this role you will manage property transactions and provide specialist advice across the UK Estate, covering lease, license and landlord and tenant matters. You will also support stakeholders, oversee suppliers and coordinate external surveyors to ensure compliant and efficient delivery of property services.
What you'll be doing
- Manage licence and lease property transactions for the UK Estate within
agreed thresholds;
- Negotiate terms for leases and licences
- Draft licence agreements and supporting documents such as SoC, plans.
- Advise internal clients on property matters;
- Undertake due diligence on property transactions to appropriate advise
internal teams of the risks associated with the transaction
- Ability to update and manage a property database
- Manage external suppliers including solicitors, surveyors and contractors;
- Review licence / lease documents and advise appropriately;
- Handle landlord & tenant matters having knowledge of the Landlord and
Tenant Act 1954;
- Manage relationships with Mobilisation Hub – who support with the set up of
project sites;
Who we're looking for
- Demonstrable experience of working in commercial property;
- RICS Chartered / working towards chartership within the next 18 months / 2
years
- Knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and general property law;
- Understanding of the key mechanics that feed into an occupational
agreement
- Understanding of AfLs, Rent Reviews, Business Rates, Dilapidations,
Planning
- Ideally worked with office, warehouse and land transactions
- Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail for meticulous record keeping;
- Ability to providing support working in a fast-paced environment to meet
targets and deadlines;
- Strong communication and relationship skills;
- Full clean driving licence (travel is required)
