About the Role
As Production Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of our manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved efficiently and safely.
You will lead and develop production teams while continuously improving processes, productivity, and performance across the factory floor.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys balancing strategic planning with operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and manage production teams to achieve operational targets
* Oversee daily manufacturing operations and workflow planning
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes
* Ensure all products meet strict quality and compliance standards
* Monitor KPIs including output, efficiency, waste reduction, and downtime
* Collaborate closely with purchasing, logistics, quality, and senior management
* Maintain a strong health & safety culture throughout the facility
* Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost efficiencies
* Support training, development, and succession planning within the team
What They're Looking For
* Previous experience in a Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager role
* Strong leadership experience within manufacturing, joinery, construction products, or specialist production environments
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
* Experience or knowledge of CNC programming
* Strong communication and people management abilities
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is advantageous
* Experience within fire doors, timber products, or compliance-led manufacturing would be highly beneficial
