About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Heat Press Operative to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying transfers to garments using industrial heat press equipment, ensuring all products meet our high standards of quality and accuracy.
This is a fast-paced production environment, so attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work to deadlines are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating heat press machinery safely and efficiently.
- Applying various transfer types, including DTF, vinyl, screen print transfers, and other heat-applied products.
- Checking garments and transfers for quality before and after pressing.
- Following job sheets and production schedules accurately.
- Ensuring correct press settings, including temperature, pressure, and dwell times.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
- Assisting with packing and quality control when required.
- Reporting any equipment issues or production concerns to management.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating industrial heat press equipment.
- Knowledge of different transfer applications and garment types.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production targets.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
- Experience within a garment decoration, screen printing, or textile production environment is highly desirable.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with DTF transfers.
- Understanding of garment decoration processes.
- Basic quality control experience.
- Flexibility to assist across different production departments when required.
