Churchill Park Hounslow Management Limited is looking for a reliable, practical and hardworking Estate Maintenance / Handyperson to help look after our estate and surrounding grounds in the Hounslow Heath (TW4 5EZ) area.
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, has good DIY skills and is comfortable working outdoors, with the ability to carry out a variety of gardening, grounds maintenance, cleaning and general estate maintenance tasks.
Main Duties
The work will include, but is not limited to:
- Grass cutting / mowing and general lawn maintenance
- Strimming and general grounds maintenance
- Hedge trimming and pruning
- Weeding and general gardening
- Planting and maintaining shrubs and plants
- Clearing leaves, branches and garden waste
- Installing, repairing and maintaining fences and gates
- General DIY and minor repairs around the estate
- Cleaning and clearing gutters
- Cleaning windows and external areas where appropriate
- Pressure washing / cleaning paths and hard-standing areas
- Moving materials, equipment and garden waste
- Keeping communal outdoor areas clean, tidy and well maintained
- Checking the estate for maintenance issues and reporting problems
- Carrying out other reasonable estate maintenance tasks as required
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has good practical / DIY skills
- Has experience in gardening, grounds maintenance, property maintenance or handyman work
- Is confident using basic hand tools and gardening equipment
- Can work independently and use initiative
- Is reliable, punctual and responsible
- Takes pride in their work
- Is physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions
- Has good attention to detail
- Can identify maintenance problems and find practical solutions
- Has a positive and flexible attitude
Previous experience is preferred, but we will consider a reliable person with strong practical skills and the right attitude.
Additional skills such as fencing, painting, basic building repairs or other maintenance experience would be an advantage.
Hours & Pay
From £15.00 per hour, with the rate negotiable depending on the candidate's skills, experience and range of practical abilities.
The position may suit someone looking for full-time work, part-time work or regular ongoing hours.
