Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Coffee Shop Manager to lead our vibrant team and ensure the smooth operation of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a solid background in food preparation and service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, maintain high standards of food safety, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Previous experience in restaurant or barista roles is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily coffee shop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service
- Supervise and motivate staff, fostering a positive team environment and providing leadership
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food production processes to maintain quality standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold hygiene standards across all areas
- Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to optimise productivity
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory effectively
- Train new team members in food safety procedures, service standards, and operational protocols
- Implement promotional activities to enhance the shop’s profile within the community
Requirements
- Proven supervising or team management experience within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production
- Experience working as a barista or in hospitality roles such as serving or front-of-house duties
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Previous experience in coffee or restaurant environments is advantageous
- A proactive attitude with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
This role offers a unique opportunity to manage a brand-new coffee shop from the very beginning. Dirt Coffee Hornsey will be the first of several locations planned to open over the coming year, making this an exciting chance to lead and shape our flagship store as the brand grows.
Pay: £11.85-£15.50 per hour
