We’re looking for an experienced hospitality leader to become our Assistant General Manager—someone who thrives on creating memorable customer experiences, developing great teams and ensuring every detail of the business is delivered with consistency and care.
This is a hands-on leadership role within an ambitious independent bakery where quality matters, standards are high and every member of the team contributes to the customer experience. Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping the day-to-day operation of the bakery, supporting the team and helping Farro continue to grow.
The Role
You will be helping to ensure the bakery runs smoothly every day while maintaining the culture, standards and attention to detail that define Farro.
You’ll lead by example during service, coach and support the team, solve problems before they arise and create an environment where both staff and customers feel genuinely looked after.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the front of house team through busy services.
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and ongoing team development.
- Maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
- Driving consistency across daily operations.
- Opening and closing the bakery.
- Supporting stock management and supplier communication.
- Ensuring food safety, cleanliness and operational standards are consistently maintained.
- Helping manage rotas, labour planning and team organisation.
- Building strong communication between front and back of house.
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, efficiency and the customer experience.
- Acting as General Manager in their absence.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys taking ownership and helping people perform at their best.
Ideally you’ll likely have several years’ management experience within an independent speciality coffee spot, bakery or restaurant where quality and genuine hospitality were at the heart of the business.
You’ll be:

Pay: From £32,000.00 per year
