The Sundancer is a popular restaurant and bar in Nairn, and we’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Restaurant Manager to join our team.

The Role
As Restaurant Manager, you’ll be responsible for the smooth and successful day-to-day running of the restaurant. You’ll lead from the front, ensuring our customers receive excellent food, drinks and service while maintaining high standards across the business.
You’ll work closely with the management team and staff to create a welcoming, efficient and enjoyable environment for both customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the restaurant and bar
- Lead, motivate and support the front-of-house team
- Deliver consistently high standards of customer service
- Ensure food, drink and service standards are maintained
- Manage staff rotas, breaks and daily staffing requirements
- Train and develop new and existing team members
- Monitor stock levels and help control wastage and costs
- Deal confidently and professionally with customer feedback
- Ensure health & safety, food safety and licensing procedures are followed
- Assist with recruitment and staff development
- Manage busy services efficiently and calmly
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
- Help drive sales and maximise the restaurant’s performance
- Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming environment
- Lead by example and create a positive team culture
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality management role
- Is confident leading and motivating a team
- Has excellent customer service skills
- Can remain calm and organised during busy services
- Has strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Is commercially aware and understands the importance of controlling costs
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards
- Is reliable, professional and hands-on
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Is flexible and able to work evenings, weekends and busy periods
