St Minver House Care Home is looking for a caring, reliable, and hardworking Housekeeper to join our friendly team.
This is a vital role where you'll help create a clean, safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for our residents. Alongside housekeeping duties, you will share laundry responsibilities with the housekeeping team to ensure residents' clothing and linen are cared for to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning residents' bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas to a high standard.
- Maintaining excellent infection prevention and hygiene practices.
- Assisting with laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing, and returning residents' clothing and bedding.
- Working as part of the housekeeping team to ensure all daily tasks are completed efficiently.
- Reporting maintenance issues and health and safety concerns.
- Treating residents with dignity, kindness, and respect while maintaining their privacy.
About You
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable, ideally within a care home, hotel, or healthcare setting.
- A positive attitude and excellent attention to detail.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Compassionate, friendly, and committed to providing a high-quality service for our residents.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control is desirable, although full training will be provided.
