Summary :
We are looking for an energetic and highly motivated Parts Advisor to work with both customers and workshop staff, over the phone and face to face, using Scania computerised stock management systems and parts identification programme.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities :
- Deal with customer needs face-to-face and over the phone with a professional and friendly approach
- Supply parts to customers and also into our workshop
- Cross & Up-sell parts whilst working towards departmental sales targets
- Unpacking and put-away of daily inbound deliveries
- Maintain an efficient stock control system and assist with regular stock take
- Ensure that procedures are correctly carried out for the ordering of goods and their receipt
- Assist to ensure that parts operations housekeeping is run efficiently
- Assist with delivery and collection of parts as required
- Ensure best practice is maintained and a good working relationship with customers & colleagues
- Must have a flexible approach to work commitments
- Assist with other duties as and when required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience :
- Effective communicator at all levels both written and verbally
- Previous experience in a Parts department
- Experience with handling warranty
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to build positive relationships with the customer and to interpret customer needs
- The ability to work as a team player in a busy department
- Computer literacy with Dealer Systems experience
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexible approach to working hours to allow cover for holidays / training
- Ability to work on own initiative under pressure
- Full driving licence
