Nursery Practitioner — East Sheen, SW14 · Full-time, permanent, all year round ·
We're looking for a warm, curious and dependable Nursery Practitioner to join our team in East Sheen.
Our setting is minutes from Richmond Park and East Sheen Common, so woodland, open space and a nature trail are part of the weekly routine rather than an occasional outing. If you'd rather be outside with a group of two-year-olds inspecting a puddle than laminating another display, you'll like it here.
What you'll be doing
- Acting as key person to a small group of children, building real relationships with them and their families
- Planning and leading play-based experiences that follow the children's interests
- Observing and recording progress in line with the EYFS
- Supporting daily routines — mealtimes, nappies and toileting, sleep, settling new starters
- Keeping the room and outdoor areas safe, calm and welcoming
- Working with the team to safeguard and promote the welfare of every child
What we're looking for
- A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, or working towards Level 3
- A working knowledge of the EYFS and what good practice looks like in a busy room
- A genuine commitment to safeguarding and child protection
- Warmth, patience and clear communication with children, parents and colleagues
- Reliability — teams run on it
Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene and safeguarding training are all funded by us if you don't have them yet.
What we offer
- Up to £32,500 per year for the right candidate.
- Fully funded training and qualifications, including Level 3, Level 5 and Forest School
- 95% childcare discount for your own children
- Up to 30 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, and your birthday off
- Company pension and employee assistance programme
- Recommend-a-friend bonus
- Genuine progression - many of our room leaders and managers started here as practitioners
