Overview
As the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Manager, you will manage the approach to occupational health and wellbeing activities, providing assurance relating to effective occupational health management, leading health and wellbeing promotion activities, and working with the Wales Route to deliver Network Rail's Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
Your Main Responsibilities will be to
Working with other stakeholders, and in particular the central Health and Wellness Strategy team, develop and implement the functions health and wellbeing improvement plan to address local health requirements, aligned to Network Rail's Integrated Plan.
There is a requirement to travel across the route to our depots and Ops locations, therefore a full UK driving licence would be required for this role.
Pay and Rewards
Salary: This role is a Band 4.C.: £43,588 - £51,719 per annum.

This role requires working in the office for a least 60% of the working week. Potentially this role could be undertaken by another location in W&B however, would need to be able to travel as the role is required to travel across Wales & Borders to attend maintenance and operational locations.

You will ideally have
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) or MSc/BSc in Occupational Health or OH Diploma/certificate.
- Relevant clinical occupational health expertise required to assess health needs of the business unit
- Ability to work autonomously on own initiative and be able to prioritise work appropriately
- An effective communicator
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Proven resilience in an occupational health environment to be able to deal with the demands of the post
- Keeping people safe on the railway is at the heart of everything we do. Safe behaviour is therefore a requirement of working for Network Rail. You should demonstrate your personal dedication to safety within your application.
What could set you apart
- Additional qualifications and experience in an area of health specialism, such as cardiovascular disease, cancer in the workplace, mental health, musculoskeletal conditions or vocational rehabilitation
- Experience of managing third party occupational health service provision
- Safety management qualification
- Railway or equivalent industry experience
- Customer interface, including training/presenting relevant health data/presentations
- Auditing clinical performance or service delivery
