We are looking for a meticulous, highly qualified electrician to become our dedicated Qualified Supervisor (QS) and Lead Commissioning Electrician.
The Role
Unlike standard installation roles, you won't be doing the heavy mechanical roofing labour. Our roofing teams pre-stage the systems. Your primary responsibility is to act as the technical backbone of the company— installing & commissioning PV systems and battery storage, carry out rigorous electrical safety testing, commission the inverter/battery systems, and sign off the compliance paperwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the named Qualified Supervisor (QS) for our NAPIT membership.
- Install our products, commissioning, and handover of domestic solar PV and battery storage systems.
- Complete and sign off Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs).
- Ensure all photographic evidence and technical documentation meet strict scheme compliance standards before submission to the office portal.
- Provide a flawless, professional final handover experience to the homeowner.
What We Are Looking For (Mandatory Criteria)
To be registered as our QS with NAPIT, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience holding technical responsibility for electrical installation work.
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (or equivalent / AM2).
- City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
- City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Lead Inspection and Testing qualification.
- Recognised Level 3 Award in Solar PV Installation (BPEC, LCL, or C&G). Battery storage qualification is highly desirable.
- A clean, valid UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel (averaging a 150-mile round trip per day) with occasional overnight hotel stays (fully funded) when working on clusters in the North West or Midlands.
