Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications to patients, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and packaging of medications for distribution.
- Provide information and advice to patients regarding their medications, including usage, side effects, and storage.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions dispensed, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care and medication management.
- Monitor inventory levels of medications and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability.
- Assist in the training and supervision of junior staff or pharmacy technicians as required.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration practices and patient care protocols.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
