What is this role?
We are looking to employ someone who is passionate about electronics and wants to learn in an engineering company as part of our Electronics department. Within this role, we will provide full training to enable you to undertake a full range of specialised manufacturing operations relating to the production of electronic inclinometers, tilt switches and digital displays, to the highest possible quality standards.
Responsibilities include
- Reading and understanding written works instructions, drawings and other manufacturing documentation
- Perform assembly of a wide range of electronic products, using a range of skills including mechanical assembly, cable preparation, soldering and engraving.
- Undertake calibration of the sensors using a range of techniques to ensure they perform to the expected standard
- Maintain production quality by strictly following policies and procedures
- Update manufacturing documentation to ensure correct procedures are being used
- Use of the company quality and production systems, such as non-conformance, serial numbers, works instructions and engineering change system
- Maintain quality standards by conducting first-piece and in-process inspection
- Able to provide help and support to other departmental areas as and when required to meet customer demands and deadlines
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area in line with current 5S policy
- Ensure all works carried out in line with Level Developments health and safety policy for yourself and others
- Take part and contribute to regular team meetings, and make suggestions for improvements

Qualifications and skills required:
- Good level of written and verbal English (essential)
- Minimum GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths (essential)
- Previous experience in an electronics manufacturing role (essential)
- Excellent computer skills
- High level of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
- To be a quick learner and adaptable to change
- Methodical and organised approach to work
- Good communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel & MS Office
Compensation & Benefits
- Permanent role, Monday to Friday (Full-time – 39 hrs per week)
