Lead a Brand-New Wellness Centre — and Grow With Us
We are opening a new premium float therapy and wellness centre in Romford and are looking for an exceptional Wellness Centre Manager to take ownership of the centre, its customer experience and its growth.
Float therapy will be at the heart of what we do, with plans to introduce additional therapies and wellness services as the centre develops.
Importantly, our ambitions extend beyond Romford. Our aim is to develop and open further centres as the business grows, creating the potential for the right person to develop their role and take on greater responsibility in the future.
This is an opportunity to join us at the beginning, build something you can be proud of and potentially grow your career alongside the business.
Health club, gym, leisure, spa and wellness managers are particularly encouraged to apply.
You don't need any previous experience of float therapy. Full training will be provided.
The Role
As Wellness Centre Manager, you'll become the face of our Romford centre.
You'll take responsibility for its day-to-day operation and, most importantly, ensure that every person who walks through our doors receives an exceptional experience.
From welcoming someone for their very first float to building relationships with regular customers and members, you'll play a central role in creating the atmosphere, standards and community around the centre.
This is a hands-on management position.
We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable looking after customers, managing the operation of the centre and taking responsibility for its commercial performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership of the smooth day-to-day running of the centre
- Delivering an exceptional customer experience from first enquiry onwards
- Welcoming customers and confidently guiding first-time visitors through their experience
- Building genuine, long-term relationships with customers and members
- Growing and maintaining the centre's membership base
- Helping customers choose appropriate packages and memberships
- Driving customer retention, repeat visits and referrals
- Managing bookings, enquiries and customer communications
- Maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene throughout the centre
- Ensuring operational procedures and standards are consistently followed
- Monitoring centre performance and working towards agreed targets
- Identifying opportunities to improve the customer journey and centre performance
- Supporting the introduction of additional therapies and wellness services
- Helping establish the culture and standards that could ultimately be replicated across future centres
Who We're Looking For
Above everything else, we're looking for an exceptional people person.
Someone who naturally makes people feel welcome, comfortable and looked after.
You'll enjoy meeting people, listening to them, understanding what they want to achieve and building genuine relationships.
At the same time, you'll have a strong sense of ownership.
If something needs doing, you'll deal with it. If something could be improved, you'll look for a solution. You'll care about how the centre looks, how customers are treated and how the business performs.
You'll also be commercially aware.
We don't want a hard-sell environment. However, we do want someone who understands that a successful wellness centre depends upon turning excellent first experiences into repeat customers, referrals and long-term members.
You'll ideally be:
- Warm, confident and highly personable
- An exceptional communicator
- Naturally good at building rapport
- Customer-focused and service-driven
- Commercially aware
- Comfortable discussing memberships and packages
- Motivated by targets and business growth
- Highly organised and dependable
- Proactive and capable of working independently
- Comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions
- Extremely attentive to detail
- Passionate about maintaining excellent standards
- Genuinely interested in health, fitness and/or wellness
- Ambitious and interested in developing as the business grows

Experience within a membership-based business, customer retention, membership sales or customer relationship management would be particularly valuable.
A qualification or background in health, fitness or wellness would be an advantage but is not essential.
Previous float therapy experience is not required. Comprehensive training will be provided.
Working Hours
This is a full-time, permanent position of 42.5 hours per week.
As a customer-facing wellness business, flexibility will be required, including some evening and weekend working on a rota basis.
Salary & Bonus
Basic salary: £35,000 per year
Plus the opportunity to earn a performance-related bonus based on the growth and performance of the centre.
Why Join Us?
