Perth & Kinross Council is seeking a time-served Mechanic/Technician to join our Fleet Management team. You will be responsible for carrying out the repair and maintenance of heavy goods and light vehicles, ensuring the Council's fleet is maintained to both DVSA and Perth & Kinross Council standards.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team providing an essential service that supports the delivery of Council services across Perth and Kinross.

You should have experience working in the motor trade as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic or Technician, together with relevant mechanical qualifications, such as City & Guilds Parts 2 and 3. A working knowledge of hydraulic repairs is also required.
You must hold a current and valid driving licence. A C+E entitlement would be desirable but is not essential, although you should be willing to work towards obtaining this qualification.
You will have the ability to work effectively within a busy and demanding environment, managing your workload and contributing positively to team objectives to meet deadlines.

The workshop operates a shift system consisting of early and back shifts, Monday to Friday, and the successful candidate will be required to participate in these working patterns.
