Job description
Care Worker - Job Purpose
· To look after the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of the Clients in their own homes using person centred approaches.
· To observe and promote the Client’s choice, independence, dignity, privacy, fulfilment and other rights.
· To create and maintain good professional relationships with Clients, their family and friends and other stakeholders.
· To accompany Clients when undertaking activities that enhance their wellbeing.
· To undertake the tasks detailed in the Clients' care and support plans using person centred approaches and in least intrusive ways.
· To encourage the independence and motivation of the Client and not encourage dependent behaviour.
· To prompt Clients to wash, bath, shower and undertake any other personal hygiene tasks or help them with such tasks if they are unable to do on their own..
· To actively support other Care Workers.
· To adhere to all regulatory and statutory obligations and policies, procedures and guidelines.
· To actively market VBS-Healthcare services and promote a positive, personal and professional profile, ensuring the good reputation of VBS-Healthcare at all times.
Qualifications
Candidates should ideally have GCSE level education with grades A-C in Maths and English or NVQ Level 2 and above in Health and Social Care. What matters most is the passion to work, hence, those with no qualifications are encouraged to apply as they can work towards qualifications whilst in employment.

· Flexible working, as evening and week end work is required.
