Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated RMD Operative to carry out a range of production roles within the Raw Materials Department maintaining quality, efficiency, Health, Safety and Environmental standards. This role will operate and understand effectively various production roles within the RMD function, primarily Blending, Grinding, Calcination of raw material within time constraints. There is also a requirement to work in other areas of the site as required for business continuity may be necessary.
Duties
- To embrace and contribute to the Company ISO 9001 & 14001 standards.
- Be proactive in Continuous Improvement on both production and H, S & E issues.
- Operate and understand effectively various production roles within the RMD function, primarily Blending, Grinding, Calcination of raw material within time constraints.
- Be equally comfortable working within a team environment but also be able to work alone and unsupervised on most occasions.
- Driving of heavy plant is a required element to the role, training will be given.
- Be flexible with shift working arrangements and open to multi-skilling.
- Be available to cover holidays, sickness and start-ups if required at short notice.
- Show a positive sense of responsibility, maturity and flexibility to deal with issues that may arise outside of normal responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Sound IT knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of mobile plant use
- Clay processing and continuous improvement techniques
- Educated to GCSE level

Pay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
