Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plate Roller to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining plate rolling machinery to shape sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Operate plate rolling machines to bend and form sheet metal according to specified dimensions and tolerances
- Overhead gantry cranes
- Welding and grinding experience
- Set up and adjust tooling and machine parameters for different projects
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Use hand tools and specialised tooling to prepare materials for rolling operations
- Measure and verify dimensions using basic math skills and measuring instruments
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Experience
- Overhead gantry cranes
- Proven experience in fabrication, sheet metal work, or related mechanical roles
- Familiarity with grinding, welding, and assembly processes is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery operation and maintenance is essential
- Proficiency in using hand tools, tooling, and basic measurement instruments
- Prior experience working with sheet metal components in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and adjustments
