The Accounting Manager at Demo Co will lead the daily operations of the accounting department, including but not limited to monthly financial reports and account reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting variances, internal and external audits, and tax planning. The Accounting Manager will also mentor and motivate the accounting team and continuously look for opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, and trust account statement reconciliations.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report on variances.
- Support month-end and year-end close process to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive accounting policy documents to improve clarity and consistency.
- Collaborate with Financial Planning and Analysis team and provide valuable input for executive decision making.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- Master's degree or CPA certification will be an additional advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations.
- Excellent computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
- Proven ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
