Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team at a bustling coffee shop in the heart of Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will assist in the smooth running of the kitchen, supporting the chefs and ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic food preparation under the guidance of the chefs
- Keep kitchen areas clean and sanitised, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Dispose of rubbish and recycling appropriately
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies
- Support the kitchen team during service by ensuring a constant supply of clean equipment and utensils
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment is advantageous
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced culinary environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
