Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our busy workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of cars and light commercial vehicles while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and scheduled maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
- Repair engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering and exhaust systems.
- Replace worn or damaged vehicle components.
- Complete timing belt/chain replacements, clutch replacements and engine repairs.
- Test vehicles after repairs to ensure faults have been resolved.
- Complete job cards and maintain accurate service records.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet workshop deadlines.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Previous experience as a Motor Mechanic or Vehicle Technician.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Good knowledge of petrol, diesel and hybrid vehicles.
- Ability to use modern diagnostic equipment.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Desirable
- Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Experience working with multiple vehicle manufacturers.

Pay: £140.00-£200.00 per day
