Part-Time Technical Procurement & Engineering Assistant
Project: Distillery Construction & Commissioning
Contract: 3 months initially, with possible extension
Hours: 1–2 days per week, flexible
Pay: negotiable

We are looking for a technically experienced Engineering Assistant to support the sourcing and procurement of machinery, equipment and spare parts for an alcoholic beverage/distillery project.
Main Responsibilities
· Research and source suitable industrial machinery and equipment worldwide.
· Obtain quotations and technically compare machinery and specifications.
· Communicate directly with manufacturers and engineering suppliers.
· Review technical drawings, specifications, manuals and equipment documentation.
· Assist with the selection and procurement of distillery and alcoholic beverage production equipment.
Essential Requirements
· Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technician or similar technical qualification/background.
· Excellent spoken and written English is essential.
· Good practical knowledge and understanding of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
· Ability to understand and compare technical specifications and engineering drawings.
· Strong computer and internet research skills.
· Ability to communicate confidently with international manufacturers and technical departments.
Preferred Experience
Knowledge or experience of machinery used in distilleries, breweries or alcoholic beverage production would be a significant advantage, particularly:
· Distillation and process equipment
· Pumps, valves and piping
· Steam boilers
· Tanks and pressure vessels
· Filtration and water-treatment systems
· Filling, capping and labelling machinery
