Front of House Team Member – Revival Wellness Café
Location: Bournemouth Town Centre
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
Pay: £12.75-£13
About Revival
Revival Wellness Café is a busy, independent wellness café in the heart of Bournemouth, built around great food, quality drinks, wellness and genuine hospitality.
We’re looking for a confident, warm and energetic Front of House Team Member to join our team.
This is much more than simply taking orders. You’ll often be one of the first people our guests meet when they walk through the door, so we’re looking for someone who naturally enjoys talking to people, creating a welcoming atmosphere and making sure every guest has a great experience.
The Role
You’ll work across different areas of the café, with a particular focus on welcoming guests, helping them with our menu and taking orders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Warmly welcoming every guest who enters Revival
- Helping guests find a suitable table and explaining how our ordering system works
- Learning our menu inside and out so you can confidently answer questions and make recommendations
- Helping guests choose food and drinks based on their preferences
- Naturally recommending extras, sides, drinks and upgrades where appropriate
- Taking orders accurately and efficiently through the till
- Preparing smoothies, lemonades and other cold drinks
- Communicating with the barista and kitchen teams to help service run smoothly
- Checking in with guests and making sure they have everything they need
- Helping serve food and drinks during busy periods
- Clearing, cleaning and resetting tables when needed
- Keeping the front-of-house and customer areas clean, organised and presentable
- Helping wherever needed during busy service — we’re a team, and everyone gets involved
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is naturally friendly, confident and attentive.
You should be comfortable approaching customers rather than waiting for them to approach you. You’ll need to be able to read the room, notice when someone needs help and confidently start conversations.
The ideal person will:
- Have previous experience in hospitality, cafés, restaurants, retail or another customer-facing environment
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Be confident speaking to new people
- Enjoy recommending and selling products
- Be comfortable upselling in a genuine, helpful way
- Be able to learn a detailed food and drinks menu
- Work calmly and efficiently when the café gets busy
- Be proactive and notice what needs doing without always needing to be asked
- Be happy moving between different responsibilities throughout a shift
- Have a positive, team-focused attitude
- Take pride in cleanliness, organisation and presentation
- Be reliable and punctual
Previous café experience is an advantage, but personality, attitude and genuine hospitality are extremely important to us.
What Great Front of House Looks Like at Revival
For us, great service isn’t just putting an order through the till.
It’s noticing that someone is visiting for the first time and helping them understand the menu.
It’s remembering a regular customer’s favourite drink.
It’s suggesting a smoothie that perfectly complements someone’s breakfast.
It’s noticing someone looking for a table and helping them before they have to ask.
It’s checking whether a guest enjoyed their meal.
And when things get busy, it’s jumping in to run food, clear a table or help another team member without thinking, “that’s not my job.” We’re all in this together!
We want our guests to leave Revival not only having enjoyed their food and drinks, but feeling genuinely looked after.
If that sounds like the kind of hospitality you love providing, we’d love to hear from you!
