The Role Includes:
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role in a healthy café and takeaway counter where all food is prepared on site by qualified chefs. The role supports daily service across coffees, smoothies, prepared food, retail products and the organic wine shop, helping customers feel welcomed, informed and well looked after.
· Prepare the business before opening, including setting up the counter, checking service areas are ready, supporting food and drink preparation where trained to do so, and completing required cleaning tasks.
· Serve customers eating in or taking away, prepare and present drinks to Clean Counter standards, process payments accurately, and support sales of food, drinks, retail items and organic wine shop products.
· Taking part in all training & development programs.
· Operate the business during opening hours, including clearing tables, cleaning service areas, monitoring customer spaces, and following all health, food hygiene, allergen and fire safety requirements always.
· Close the business at the end of daily operation, including cleaning down, securing service areas, restocking where required, and preparing the counter for the following day.
· Develop good knowledge of Clean Counter’s food, drinks, ingredients, allergen information, retail products and organic wine shop offer so that customers receive helpful and accurate service.

Requirements:
Able to communicate clearly verbally & in writing.
Have an interest in healthy food, quality drinks, organic products and friendly customer service.
Able to operate the electronic point of sale software
Complete and pass the food hygiene, allergen awareness, fire safety, health and safety, licensing awareness and any product training required by the business.
Be willing to follow all business procedures for responsible retailing, including age-related sales checks where required
Previous experience as a barista is preferred ideally in an independent coffee shop
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
