Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Travel Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting clients in planning and booking their travel arrangements, providing expert advice on destinations, accommodations, and activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for travel, excellent customer service skills, and a good understanding of the travel industry. A minimum of 1 year retail travel experience is required for this role . Duties
- Assist clients in planning customised travel itineraries, including cruise, flights, hotels, tours and package holidays.
- Provide expert advice on destinations, travel requirements, and local attractions to enhance client experiences
- Book reservations for flights, hotels, car rentals, and other travel services using specialised booking systems
- Offer personalised recommendations based on clients’ preferences and budgets
- Handle enquiries via phone, email, or face-to-face and social media platforms , with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and bookings in the company database
- Stay informed about the latest travel trends, visa requirements, and safety protocols
- Collaborate with suppliers such as hotels and tour operators to secure the best deals for clients
- Follow up with clients post-travel to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback for continuous improvement
Skills
- Proven experience in retail travel sectors is highly advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Good knowledge of popular travel destinations and current travel regulations
- Proficiency in using booking software and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to handle unexpected issues effectively
