Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. Responsibilities
- Installing new roofing systems using various materials such as tiles, slates and rubber flat roof systems
- Repairing and replacing damaged or worn roofing components to ensure structural integrity and weatherproofing
- Inspecting roofs to identify issues and determine appropriate solutions
- Working at heights safely using scaffolding, ladders, and harnesses
- Measuring and cutting materials accurately using hand tools and power tools
- Maintaining a clean work site by removing debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in roofing installation and repairs
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, chisels, saws, and screwdrivers
- Competence in operating power tools including drills, nail guns, and cutting equipment
- Ability to fabricate custom components as needed for specialised roofing projects
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations related to working at heights and on construction sites
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
