Position: Cleaner
Location: Floor domestic, Meadow View Care Centre, DE4 2JF

Contract Duration: 3+ Months
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: PAYE: £12.37 Per Hour
Job Responsibilities
- Carry out general cleaning duties within council buildings and facilities
- Clean and maintain offices, communal areas, corridors, toilets, kitchens, and public spaces to a high standard
- Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and sanitise designated areas regularly
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety procedures
- Replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and consumables as required
- Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and stored correctly
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards across all assigned areas
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, or health and safety concerns to supervisors
- Follow COSHH regulations, health and safety procedures, and cleaning protocols
- Work independently and efficiently to complete duties within allocated timescales
- Support a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and service users

Mandatory Requirements
Experience
- Experience carrying out general cleaning or housekeeping duties
- Experience working in a cleaning, facilities, or maintenance environment
Knowledge
- Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and hygiene standards
- Awareness of health and safety practices related to cleaning duties
- Understanding of safe handling and storage of cleaning materials
Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage cleaning tasks effectively
- Good attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleaning standards
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible approach to work
- Ability to follow instructions and complete duties efficiently
- Good time management and organisational skills
