Purple Beard engages, trains, and deploys talent through funded Apprenticeships & Skills Bootcamps while working with private and public sector employers and individuals from all over the UK, providing digital skills training

- Experience using a CRM (Salesforce preferred)

- Understanding of Apprenticeships and how they are funded
- Understanding of End point assessments
- Understanding of Functional skills and how to support learners with the aspect of Maths and English Level 2

Purpose of job
To support apprentices throughout their learning journey, ensuring timely achievement of qualifications through tailored curriculum planning, effective coaching, and robust progress monitoring. The Skills Coach plays a key role in maintaining compliance, delivering high-quality learning experiences, and contributing to continuous improvement across programme areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Learner Support & Mentoring
- Motivate and guide apprentices to complete their learning aims and qualifications on time.
- Conduct regular contact reviews, progress reviews, and tripartite meetings.
- Identify and support additional learning needs (ALN) and tailor curriculum plans accordingly.
- Curriculum Planning & Delivery
- Complete Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), ALN documentation, and curriculum plans.
- Deliver inductions and Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) sessions for apprentices and managers.
- Share learning schedules and assessment plans a quarter in advance.
- Portfolio & Compliance Management
- Maintain up-to-date learner records on OneFile, including assessments, feedback, and ALS hours.
- Ensure compliance with ESFA, Ofsted, and internal policies.
- Complete pre-gateway checks and ensure timely EPA preparation.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicate with apprentices and managers within 1 working day (SLA).
- Notify stakeholders of any timetable changes or cancellations in advance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver an outstanding apprenticeship experience.
- Reporting & Data Accuracy
- Input learner data into TLQR and contribute to Monday huddles.
- Produce reports using Power BI or Excel for internal and external stakeholders.
- Submit ALS and TLQR reports accurately and on time.
- Assessment & Feedback
- Mark assessments within 14 days and provide clear, actionable feedback.
- Coach learners through mock assessments and EPA preparation.
- Ensure KSBs are assessed throughout the apprenticeship journey.
- Professional Development & CPD
- Attend mandatory internal/external CPD events (minimum 4 per year).
- Update CPD records quarterly and submit during 1:1 meetings.
- Engage with EPAO SharePoint and standardisation meetings.
- Quality Assurance
- Participate in IQA observations and implement feedback.
- Ensure apprentices do not resubmit work more than twice.
- Support apprentices to pass EPA first time.
- Ad-hoc Duties
- Support business needs as required by Purple Beard.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
