We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner who is capable of working on their own initiative to clean in offices and washrooms in Cheadle village SK8. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in commercial premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual who may already work in the Cheadle village SK8 area and wants to top up their earnings. You will need to take pride in delivering a clean and hygienic environment.
You will be required to provide 2 checkable work references following your interview.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces
- Clean and sanitise washrooms, kitchens, and communal areas to meet health and safety standards
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are stored safely and efficiently
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during cleaning procedures
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Ensure all areas are kept tidy and organised throughout the shift
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not essential
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Reliable with a positive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standard.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices
