About Role:
We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our experienced team in supporting young people as they transition toward greater independence. This role involves providing high-quality support, guidance and encouragement to young people within an Ofsted regulated supported accommodation setting, helping them develop practical life skills, emotional resilience, and the confidence needed to move toward adulthood.

Willoughby Place operates across North and Southeast London and is expanding. As a provider of supported accommodation for young people aged 16 and above, we offer a safe, structured and nurturing environment where young people are supported to develop independence, manage daily living responsibilities, and work toward positive outcomes in education, employment and wellbeing.
Our support model is aligned with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and focuses on empowering young people through key working, risk-informed support, multi-agency collaboration, and tailored pathway planning. We aim to help each young person build confidence, self-worth and the skills needed to become active, valued members of the community.
Unlike a children’s home or residential care setting, our service is designed to provide support rather than care, promoting independence while ensuring appropriate safeguarding, oversight and support are in place.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily key work sessions and maintain progress reports.
- Attend staff meetings and coordinate with young people and external professionals.
- Plan and facilitate meaningful activities and workshops.
- Communicate effectively through handovers and emails.
- Carry out health and safety checks, including fire drills and room inspections.
- Perform maintenance and cleanliness tasks in communal areas.
- Develop independence portfolios for young people.
- Monitor and distribute living allowances, keeping accurate records.
- Complete risk assessments and incident reports as required.
- Support young people with appointments, education, employment, and training opportunities.
- Assist in obtaining essential identification documents (e.g., passport, driving license).
- Establish structured routines for service users to follow.
- Record and monitor daily activities and movements of young people.
- Help young people navigate challenges, resolve conflicts, and adhere to house rules.
- Provide guidance to individuals at risk due to offending behavior, self-harm, or antisocial actions.
- Implement company policies, including health and safety standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development (CPD) and stay informed about relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines.
Job Details:
- Location: North and Southeast London
- Hours: Vary based on the needs of the young people and staff team.
- Rate of Pay: £31,590 per annum
Requirements:
- Education: Minimum Level 3 qualification in working with young people (or equivalent) and Level 2 Safeguarding.
- Experience: At least two years of experience in a residential setting supporting teenagers.
- Certifications: Enhanced DBS check required and registration on update service.
- Training: Must have completed all statutory training required for working with vulnerable young people in a residential environment.

Salary: £32,630 per annum (inclusive of regular sleep-in payments)
This figure is based on a full-time rota of 40 hours per week at £13.50 per hour, plus an average of 2.5 sleep-ins per week paid at £35 per sleep-in.
